What to Expect
The Tesla Energy Training team creates, manages, and facilitates a wide variety of educational materials that support key stakeholders across multiple product lines and business functions, including Energy Storage, Charging, and Solar. The team is looking for an experienced Technical Training Instructor who will conceptualize and deliver engaging educational content designed to enhance the training experience of multiple teams across the Energy organization by analyzing training needs and designing solutions aligned with learning objectives. This individual will facilitate instructional content that supports key performance indicators and will manage the classroom in a manner that enables a productive learning environment. Strong creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, and problem-solving skills are required for success in this role. This role is full-time onsite inHenderson, NV, with ~25% travel/offsite activities.
What You'll Do
- Train and certify others on critical subject matter across supported business lines and curriculum using various teaching methods and environments, including but not limited to facilitating classroom presentations, hands-on activities, virtual training sessions, product demonstrations, and on-the-job coaching
- Conceptualize training that supports business objectives that are specifically designed to enhance knowledge and skill retention
- Continuously evaluate existing training by collecting, reviewing, and sharing feedback with applicable business partners, with a primary focus on training improvement
- Pursue technical knowledge and information to gain a deep understanding of Tesla products and processes by engaging in regular communication with trainers, engineers, business leaders, and frontline employees
- Perform ongoing upskilling by completing all certification programs and regularly completing field work
- Be a respectable and professional representative for Energy Training in all scenarios and environments by providing support to all learners, special guests, visitors, etc
What You'll Bring
- 2+ years of training facilitation or related experience, preferably in a high-tech or product-centric environment
- Demonstrated understanding of renewable energy products and industry standards
- Strong understanding of, and ability to critically apply core concepts of training, curriculum development, adult learning theory, etc. in the creation and delivery of training content that is aligned with business needs
- Eagerness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment where objectives and responsibilities may need to quickly adapt to evolving industry needs
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite and related tools for communicating information efficiently
- Friendly, clear, strong speaker with composure, approachability, and interpersonal skills
