General Dynamics Land Systems is seeking an Administrative Assistant to be a part of our administrative team in support of our Wheeled and Robotic Platforms team. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable working in a team environment, has the ability to multi-task, while maintaining complex schedules. The ideal candidate for this job has excellent customer facing skills, is resourceful, a good problem solver and organized. Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is key to success in this position.

Key Job Elements Include:

  • Provide administrative support to the Wheeled and Robotic Platforms team and with day- to-day requirements including coordination of meetings, calendar coordination, key projects, and travel arrangements
  • Prepare, organizing and maintaining correspondence, administrative and other files
  • Manage budgetary information, coordinating invoice payments
  • Draft routine documents/agreements
  • Processing of travel expense reports for team members
  • Create & distribute department communications as required
  • Responsible for coordinating departmental records management, maintain office supplies, and coordinate interoffice mail / courier
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects
  • Liaise with other departments and teams to resolve issues
  • Support other Administrative Admins across departments as required with visits, travel arrangements/expense reports etc...
  • Field day to day departmental administrative inquiries and problem solve issues

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Business (or related) or equivalent or significant related experiencein lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 7+ years as an administrative assistant preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
  • Good judgment, discretion, ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials
  • Ability to take initiative and adjust priorities based on departmental initiatives
  • Ability to multi-task and work well within a team environment with limited supervision and time constraints
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office (including Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
