Fuh Lab - Junior Specialist

Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences, School of Medicine

UC San Francisco

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences is looking for a Junior Specialist to join the Fuh Lab. The responsibilities will include:



  • Tissue culture maintenance and inventory
  • Consenting patients for tissue collection
  • Collecting tissue and blood from the OR and clinic
  • Collecting clinical information
  • Performing, analyzing, and interpreting cell biology assays
  • Performing, analyzing, and interpreting molecular biology assays
  • Presenting data
  • Writing abstracts
  • Preparing data in publishable format


Required Qualifications:



  • Specialists appointed at the Junior rank must possess a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or at least four years of relevant research experience.
  • Prior lab bench research for at least 1 year or more
  • Experience in Western blotting
  • Experience in designing experiments and analyzing data
  • Experience in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in tissue cell culture


Screening of applicants will begin immediately and will continue throughout the recruitment period.

See Table 24B for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $55,000-$58,600.
