Job Title:
Lead, Commodity Manager
Job Description:
The Global Supply Chain team is integral to enabling Entegris' global supply chain and business growth objectives-while meeting the requirements of some of the world's most demanding semiconductor customers.
We are seeking a Lead Commodity Manager - Specialty Gases & Chemicals to own strategic sourcing and supplier initiatives for a business-critical global portfolio, with primary responsibility for supporting Entegris' specialty gas business. Reporting to the Manager, Direct Category Management, you will lead sourcing strategy for specialty gases, including high-purity gases, bulk and cylinder gas programs, and related chemical categories-driving supply assurance, cost and risk optimization, supplier performance, and cross-functional alignment with product development, manufacturing, quality, EHS, and operations. This is a lead individual contributor role (no direct reports) with immediate ownership of an established portfolio and requires a procurement professional with a minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic sourcing or commodity/category management, with demonstrated ability to lead complex, global initiatives and influence at senior levels.
You'll be successful in this role by combining strong commodity/category management fundamentals with practical experience managing technically complex supplier relationships, particularly in specialty gases, bulk gas supply models, cylinder programs, and high-reliability manufacturing environments. The role requires strong commercial leadership, technical curiosity, and the ability to influence stakeholders across Entegris and at suppliers to deliver supply continuity, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.
This role may be based at our Aurora, Illinois; Round Rock, Texas; or Danbury, Connecticut facilities and is hybrid (3 days per week onsite).
Own and execute global sourcing strategy for specialty gases, bulk gases, cylinder gases, and related chemical categories to improve supply assurance, quality, risk management, and total cost of ownership.
Lead supplier selection, qualification, and change control decisions using data-driven evaluation of capability, capacity, quality, cost, continuity, and risk.
Develop and manage specialty gas supply models, including high-purity gas supply, bulk delivery, cylinder programs, cylinder packs, supplier distribution networks, continuity planning, supplier change control, and operational interfaces with Entegris manufacturing sites.
Drive value creation initiatives, including cost savings, should-cost analysis, and commercial improvements.
Partner with specialty gas business stakeholders, product development, manufacturing, quality, and EHS to support production continuity, customer requirements, new product introductions, organic growth, and long-range capacity needs.
Lead supplier performance management through business reviews, metrics, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects.
Lead complex, cross-functional and multi-site initiatives with minimal guidance-setting project governance, driving decisions, and delivering on scope, schedule, and stakeholder alignment.
Direct experience managing supply categories such as specialty gases, high-purity gases, bulk gases, cylinder gases, semiconductor process materials, or high-purity chemicals is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to set category strategy, lead executive-ready recommendations, and influence senior stakeholders across technical, operations, quality, EHS, and finance organizations.
Technical curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to learn complex materials, supply models, and manufacturing requirements.
Demonstrated negotiating skills, effective communication capabilities, and the ability to persuade suppliers to efficiently support the long term, profitable growth of Entegris.
Your success will be measured by:
A resilient specialty gas and related chemical supply base that meets Entegris requirements for continuity, quality, cost competitiveness, and risk management across global operations.
Stronger supplier performance through business reviews, metrics, corrective actions, and continuous improvement execution.
Clear, timely sourcing recommendations grounded in market intelligence, financial analysis, and risk assessment, including long-range capacity and continuity planning.
