Supporting manufacturing activities by performing corrective/preventive maintenance on manufacturing process equipment such as Autoclaves, Lyophillizers, Centrifuges, Mixers, and Pumps among others. Operational and maintenance support to critical utility systems including HVAC, Chill Water, Compressed Air, Plant Steam, Purified Water, and Clean Steam. Support facility infrastructure including incoming utilities, waste systems, and environmental controls.
Provide support for compounding and finished goods equipment consisting of mixing vessels, pumps, fillers & packaging line equipment. Support compounding, filling, and packaging operations. Core Competences:
Advanced mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls troubleshooting Strong understanding of GMP equipment and critical utilities Advanced understanding of general maintenance processes and methods Follow all safety regulations and promote positive safety behaviors. Adherence to Quality Systems and Good Manufacturing Practices with proper attention to detail. Self-motivated with the ability to work in a professional, multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Equipment manual and P&ID interpretation (in the English language) Advanced manual dexterity and problem-solving skills. Software: MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Maintenance Execution & Reliability
Plan and execute maintenance activities with minimal supervision. Coordinate maintenance windows with production to optimize uptime. Perform emergency repairs, which necessitates the ability to troubleshoot promptly. Engagement in Operational Excellence (OPEX) initiatives (5S, Gemba, A3 problem solving)
Technical Expertise & Compliance
Proficient in operating and troubleshooting Building Management Systems (JCI Metasys) for controlling & troubleshooting HVAC, Chiller & Steam equipment. Proficient in utilizing the CMMS (BRAM) for documenting maintenance activities and asset life cycle management. Maintain detailed maintenance documentation and repair logs following GDP and ALCOA+ data integrity principles. Coordinate equipment availability with production to ensure maintenance is completed within required timeframe. Develop and revise maintenance standard operating and PM procedures. Perform troubleshooting using advanced electronic equipment, isometric and P&ID drawings, diagrams, functional specifications, operating and component manuals, and verbal/written instructions. Identify and help implement equipment/process improvement projects. Support quality systems and regulatory compliance through non-conformance investigations, CAPA implementation and change control process. Lead/assist small projects to improve equipment/process reliability, efficiency, and operation as well as standardize equipment design in a GMP environment.
Leadership & Collaboration
Provide equipment technical guidance to production, engineering, and maintenance teams. Knowledge transfer to junior technicians and support skills development. Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve complex technical issues. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
What will you need to be successful?
Education: High school diploma. Trade or vocational school (preferred). Licenses/Certifications: Certificates and/or specialized training preferred Experience: 5+ years in regulated manufacturing (pharma, biotech, or medical device) or 3+ years as Maintenance Technician III (internal progression)
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the Employee will be required to walk, stand, lift 40 lbs., climb ladders/stairs, work in confined spaces, and high noise environments. Employee must be able to wear appropriate PPE, when deemed necessary. Location: Fort Worth, Vickery Site Travel Requirements: less than 5%
