Job Summary: The Electrician II is an experienced electrician responsible for performing highly diversified duties including planning, building and installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production and facility equipment according to safety and regulatory standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan, layout and install support for new and existing equipment.
- Design, build and program electrical controls and equipment.
- Utilize electrical ladder diagrams, electronic circuitry diagrams, and software programs to modify, repair, or improve equipment functionality.
- Design, build, and install control cabinets.
- Work with and direct vendors concerning electrical projects.
- Maintain facility and production electrical systems.
- Install wiring, conduit, and fixtures supporting new and existing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues; motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, communication devices, electronic controls and power transmission systems.
- Perform routine maintenance of electrical systems.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic circuitry and related components associated with the operation of facility equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Operate and utilize a variety of tools such as: mechanical hand tools, power tools, electrical/electronic test equipment and calibration equipment. Operate tools and equipment safely, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Keep work areas organized and maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
- Attend classes and training sessions related to electrical theory and practices.
- Assist with projects in reference to electrical/mechanical support and when directed.

- This is a highly self-motivated position that demonstrates competency in facility and production electrical design, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Experience/Education Requirements:
- Three plus years of experience or education resulting in thorough understanding of electrical theory and principles and the ability to perform duties of this position.
- Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to interpret electrical and mechanical situations to determine process failure, needs, and improvements.
- Strong willingness to learn and take direction from those with more experience/knowledge.
- Must be able to read and write English
Other Requirements:
- Overtime is required on occasion.
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in various environments.
- Normal mobility, no abnormal fear of heights or confined spaces.
- Lifting is required of tools and parts from 1 to 100 pounds.
- Standing, reaching, stooping, and bending is required and varies per shift.
- Must be able to operate hand tools, power tools, meters, etc.
- Must be able to distinguish wire color differences.
- Must be able to operate lift truck.
- Must understand and abide by safety and code standards such as Lockout /Tag out, Arc Flash procedures.
- Must possess and/or obtain routine hand tools used by an industrial electrician.
- Perform other duties as assigned by qualified electricians or management
