Department Summary The Office of the Dean of Students and the Office of Student Conduct are dedicated to supporting students through every step of their academic journey, including navigating the conduct process and addressing grievances. Students receive personalized assistance to ensure that they understand their rights and responsibilities, are aware of resources and receive guidance to help them make informed decisions. Through working closely with campus partners to promote a fair and respectful environment, the Office of the Dean of Students and the Office of Student Conduct foster personal growth and accountability. Position Summary Under the general direction of the Dean of Students, Responsible for the application of the Student Conduct Code and the Student Group Conduct Code, including review and adjudication of all matters referred for disciplinary action. Mediates campus-related disputes; counsels and makes referrals for students with grievances; researches and drafts recommendations for policies and procedures related to student conduct-related matters; advises honor societies; develops and presents to the University community educational programs on student conduct-related issues; and serves on various campus-wide committees. This role provides strategic direction and leadership to the Office of Student Conduct, aligning mission and goals with divisional and organizational objectives, managing staff, departmental budget, and analyzing data trends. Plays key roles in campus Consultation and Response Team and Title IX Case Management Teams. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range.
