Shift FB C: The regular hours for this position are Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday from 7:00am to 7:15pm.

Job Description:

TheAssembly & Test Technicianis asenior-level skilled technicianresponsible for performing complex assembly, inspection, and test operations withinFormFactor'ssemiconductor manufacturing environment.

This role requires strong technical aptitude, precision workmanship, and the ability to independently execute and troubleshoot moderately complex processes. The technician will collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure high-quality output, support production goals, and drive continuous improvement.

At the S3 level, this roleoperateswithlimited day-to-day supervision, appliessound judgment in resolving issues, and contributes to improving processes and workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembly & Production Execution

  • Perform precision assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical components, including miniature parts, using microscopes and specialized tools.
  • Execute complex build processes for probe cards, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Test & Inspection

  • Conduct functional and parametric testing of assemblies using established test equipment and procedures.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify product quality and conformance.
  • Identify, document, and escalate defects or non-conformances.

Troubleshooting & Problem Solving

  • Troubleshoot assembly and test issues,identifyingroot cause and implementing corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Support engineers with failure analysis, yield investigations, and process improvements.
  • Make recommendations to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability.

Documentation & Systems

  • Accurately record production data, test results, and process deviations in manufacturing systems.
  • Maintain clear and detailed documentation for traceability and compliance.
  • Support updates to work instructions and process documentation.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to meet production targets and yield goals.
  • Participate in Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assistin onboarding and mentoring less experienced technicians.

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to all safety, environmental, and cleanroom protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
  • Follow ESD, PPE, and contamination control requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with precision assembly and/or semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with test equipment, measurement tools, and inspection techniques.
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
