We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Financial Analyst within our Accounting Department group based in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly accruals and journal entries
  • Preparing monthly close schedulesand variance reports
  • Ensuring monthly close deadlines and responsibilities are met
  • Supporting the monthly outlook and annual budget process
  • Maintaining and updating financial models to reflect current business conditions
  • Reviewing financial statements and performing account reconciliations
  • Analyzing financial statement activityand summarizing for business unit and accounting management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial information and policy compliance
  • Assisting with internal and external audit requests, as well as other special projects
  • Helping and coordinating other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlines
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic
  • Ability to interpret and present financial data clearly
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work overtime required for monthly closing activities

Desired Qualifications:

  • Upstream oil and gas experience
  • SAP and SAC
  • OneStream
  • CPA

Relocation will not be provided.
