The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Description Purchasing Supervisor will manage the workflow of the Buyers, schedules/coverage and delegating tasks, They will assess work performance while ensuring goals, deadlines, policy and procedures and performance standards, KPIs, are met, Training and onboarding new hires as well as educating existing staff and conducting competency sessions and testing, Execute new initiatives and projects while adhering to deadlines and budgets, Resource for staff to help and direct the resolution of issues and workflow roadblocks and stoppages, Maintain daily buyer responsibilities, Qualifications Associates degree or 5 years of equivalent Purchasing experience with 1 year experience in a lead or supervisory capacity, Strongly prefer experience within healthcare industry, Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel, Able to perform basic mathematical calculations and formulas, balance and reconcile figures, possess good communication both written and verbal skills, Experience with ERP systems, PeopleSoft strongly preferred, Job Function Develop and maintain an understanding of all aspects of Supply Chain especially Purchasing, Accounts Payable and Customer Service, Develop and maintain an understanding of all aspects of Supply Chain especially Purchasing, Accounts Payable and Customer Service, Supervisor will continue to perform daily Buyer activities, Perform daily review of quality assurance reports and take corrective action as needed, Proactively assist with escalations from Supply Chain departments to address process and payment issues, Establishes and maintains a positive rapport through effective communication, timeline follow-up with customers, staff, coworkers, auditing firms and outside agencies/vendors, Establishes and maintains a positive rapport through effective communication, timeline follow up with customers, staff/coworkers, auditing firms and outside agencies/vendors, Produces clear and effective communications, verbal and written, Onboard new hires, conduct training and competency sessions and testing for all members of staff, Onboard new hires, conduct training and competency sessions/testing for all members of staff, Resource for staff to assist, educate and direct them in problem resolution including ME on issues, workflow roadblocks and stoppages, Conduct team meeting as well as one-on-ones as needed, Provide guidance on Purchasing processes and policies for all business units and departments, Oversee assigned Buyer team, Manage the workflow of the Buyers, schedules/coverage, monitor daily reports, conduct workload balancing and delegating tasks; assess, provide staff feedback and hold them accountable for work performance, ensuring goals, deadlines, policy & procedures and performance standards, KPIs, are met, Streamline and optimize purchasing practices and workflow paths to improve the experience for our customers and the Buyers, Streamline and optimize purchasing practices and workflow paths to improve the experience for our customers and the Buyers, Collaborate with management, peers and end-users on process improvement ideas, plans and execution, Act as a resource to staff and our customers for execute and implement of new initiatives, Perform other duties as assigned Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
