As the part-time Contact Station Assistant, you will knowledgeably explain the various attractions the park holds and feel good knowing you enhanced the client experience! This part-time position will often provide coverage on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for our Estrella Mountain Regional Park. We Require
Six months of customer service/public contact experience High school diploma or GED A combination of post-secondary education and/orjob-related experience may substitute for theminimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
Other Requirements
Will require working various shifts and locations, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Some of the locations are in remote areas of the park Walk to collect revenue in an outdoor climate with the possibility of temperatures over 100 degrees Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire

One or more years of customer service/public contact experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask. Cash handling experience using a computerized point of sale system Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook
Job Contributions
Welcome and assist park visitors by answering questions, offering guidance, and delivering information about park amenities, recreational opportunities, trails, and natural features Accurately collect day-use, camping, and other applicable fees using cash registers or point-of-sale systems. Selling daily, seasonal, and annual passes, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts. Perform daily reconciliation of receipts, process credit/debit transactions, and prepare deposits in accordance with park financial procedures Help visitors reserve camping sites in person and over the phone. Check in campers as they arrive in the park and provide all applicable camping information Explain Park rules, natural resources, cultural history, and environmental policies to visitors to promote awareness, safety, and conservation. Conduct routine patrols of park facilities, including campgrounds and day-use areas, to educate visitors about park rules and regulations Conduct routine patrols of park facilities, including campgrounds and day-use areas, to ensure visitor compliance with park rules and regulations. Provide education and issue warnings when necessary Monitor two-way radios and telephone systems for routine and emergency communications. Promptly report and document any emergency situations to the appropriate staff or law enforcement personnel Assist with the cleanliness, organization, and light maintenance of park offices, kiosks, and visitor service areas to ensure a welcoming and safe environment Other job duties as assigned
Working Conditions
The work will occur in an office and field environment. While performing the duties & responsibilities, the employee may be exposed to loud noise, noxious odors, unsanitary conditions, chemicals, electricity, moving mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, and other related conditions and situations. Position is subject to atmospheric conditions: Fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation Exerting up to 20 lbs. occasionally, 10 lbs. frequently, or negligible amounts constantly, or requires walking or standing to a significant degree Machines, Tools, Equipment, Software, and Hardware:Computers, Phones, Point-of-Sale Systems, General Office Equipment (copiers, staplers, laminators, etc.). Protective equipment is required as needed to perform the various park-related tasks
