What you will enjoy doing*
- You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot air separation plants at customer sites while serving as the primary technician for assigned locations with minimal supervision.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements at each plant location.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and calibrations on process equipment, including centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, gas analyzers, electrical control systems, and pneumatic control valves.
- Further, you will diagnose and resolve plant, equipment, and process issues, developing practical solutions to moderately complex operational and maintenance challenges.
- Manage daily operations and maintenance activities, prioritizing work and managing time effectively across assigned plant locations.
- Coordinate contractors and internal/external resources to support maintenance activities, audits, projects, and administrative requirements.
- Monitor plant performance and implement improvements to maintain or increase plant efficiency, reliability, and productivity.
- And you will provide technical support and guidance for operational and maintenance projects as needed.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular interaction, responsive support, and effective communication.
- Travel to customer sites, typically within an hour of the home location, and maintain ownership of plant performance and operational excellence.
- Participate in an on-call rotation with 24/7 availability as needed, carrying a company cell phone and laptop to ensure immediate responsiveness and support uninterrupted plant operations.
- Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
What makes you great
- You have a High School Diploma required; Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
- 2-5 years of operations, maintenance, or industrial plant experience preferred, including air separation plants or other complex process control environments.
- Experience with instrumentation and controls, industrial mechanical and electrical systems, compressors, HVAC equipment, and general industrial equipment maintenance and repair.
- Strong commitment to safety, including adherence to safety procedures, safe driving practices, and quality standards.
- You have proven troubleshooting, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair skills, with the ability to interpret process control schematics and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office applications, FIX32/HMI systems, process control systems, maintenance management systems, analyzers, and compliance documentation.
- Demonstrated self-directed learning capabilities and experience supporting planning, project management, procurement activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Military engineering or technical experience is highly valued, including Machinist Mate, Electrician Mate, Gas Turbine Technician, Boiler Technician, Turret Mechanic, or similar specialties.
