As a Residential Juvenile Security Officer in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will help to deter incidents through a visible presence, routine patrols, and clear communication while delivering strong customer service. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures and government location policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and document visitor activity in accordance with post orders and security-related protocols.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details through appropriate communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or policy concerns.
• Support emergency response activities, assist with directions and information, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent presence and attention to post procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
