UCI Human Resources (HR) serves the UCI enterprise in three distinct business units: Health (Academic Hospitals and Community Network), College of Health Sciences, and Main Campus. The HR enterprise consists of the Partnership for Strategy and Innovation (Partnership), People Services, Health HR, Campus HR, and the Office of the Senior Vice President and Vice Chancellor, Human Resources. The Partnership serves as a strategic center responsible for planning and implementing strategic initiatives across the entire UCI HR enterprise. People Services is a trusted partner in providing administrative support functions that allow the UCI community to focus on their core functions to accomplish the UCI mission of teaching, research, public service, and patient care. Members of the Partnership and People Services work in close collaboration with all three business units to leverage expertise across the enterprise.

Temporary Employment Services (TES) is UCI's internal staffing department, providing strategic, flexible talent solutions across the UCI campus and UCI Health system.

The Senior Recruiter is a member of UCI's internal temporary staffing department. The Senior Recruiter uses employment and staffing techniques and concepts for employment, sourcing programs, and policies to fill short-term staffing needs for the UCI enterprise, inclusive of the Irvine campus, Health Sciences, and UCI Health. Employment and search efforts are diverse and complex in scope, where analyses of situations require a review of variety of factors. Exercises considerable judgment and discretion to determine appropriate action. Works with internal and external contacts on the management of temporary employees.

Required:

• Thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures; knowledge of functional area and understands how work may impact other areas.
• Thorough knowledge of recruitment, screening, interviewing and referral processes.
• Knowledge of HR processes and forms and knows organizational and departmental principles and procedures.
• Works with other areas of human resources as it relates to the employment function.
• Knowledge of employment law.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills as well as those needed for conducting needs assessment, providing input on candidate selection and problem solving.
• Demonstrated abilities associated with problem identification; reasoning; ability to work with business units in developing ideas to solve staffing issues.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct complex analyses and develop recommendations.
• Highly skilled in public speaking with ability to speak effectively and articulately in front of a large audience.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Technical skills sufficient to effectively use MS Word, Excel, HRIS databases, applicant tracking systems, internet sourcing systems.
• Experience marketing temporary employment to future clients.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience providing performance feedback.
• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a recruiter
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written)

Preferred:

• Current working knowledge of UC policies.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $79,200 - $111,300 (Annual).
