Cloud Computing instructors are responsible for facilitating the teaching and learning process, developing and maintaining curriculum, and preparing students for successful careers in cloud computing, cloud security, cybersecurity, DevOps, and infrastructure engineering.

The result should be students' ability to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, ethics, and use of modern technology solutions required to design, deploy, secure, automate, and manage enterprise cloud and cybersecurity environments.

The Instructor - Cloud Computing delivers hands-on, career-focused instruction that prepares students to succeed in modern cloud and infrastructure roles. This position emphasizes core cloud architecture, virtualization, identity and access management, security practices, compliance awareness, and operational best practices used across today's cloud environments.

The instructor creates an inclusive, student-centered learning experience through labs, projects, and practical assessments. Success in this role means helping students build technical confidence, professional habits, and job-ready skills for entry-level to mid-level positions in cloud computing and related fields.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS

  • Facilitate learning activities related to cloud computing and cloud engineering.
  • Create engaging lectures, labs, and cloud-based projects.
  • Monitor, assess, and advise students on academic and technical progress.
  • Develop and update curriculum to align with current industry standards.
  • Maintain cloud lab environments and recommend new technologies and platforms.
  • Assist in student recruitment, retention, and career preparation.
  • Participate in curriculum development and continuous program improvement.
  • Build relationships with industry partners and employers.
  • Support student certification preparation and capstone projects.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Cloud Computing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in cloud computing, systems administration, DevOps, networking, infrastructure engineering, cybersecurity, or related technologies.
  • Cloud and/or cybersecurity certifications preferred (AWS, Azure, GCP, Security+, CISSP, CCSP, CKA, or equivalent).
  • 1-3 years teaching or training experience preferred
