Research Associate (SRA 1) - Ophthalmology

The Research Associate will assist in the research goals of
the Gilhooley laboratory under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator.
They will manage chemical inventory and ensure the laboratory maintains current
safety standards. They will also ensure animal welfare.

Note: Skills may be subject to test.

Salary Range: $30.12 - $35.92 Hourly (Effective 07-06-26)

Required:

• Ability to maintain animal colonies (mouse and rat).
• Knowledge of animal breed and husbandry
• Some knowledge and experience breeding transgenic mouse
  lines.
• Assisting with animal dissection and biopsies.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to keep track of multiple projects
• Ability to keep organized records
• High ethical standards
• Strong communication skills

Preferred:

• Previous experience as a laboratory manager.
• Previous experience managing mouse colonies.
• Previous experience in neurobiology or related research.
• B.S. in some branch of science, engineering, or math
