The Department of Medicine, in partnership with the UNC Palliative Care & Hospice Program, is seeking a Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician to join our growing interdisciplinary team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This faculty position offers the opportunity to combine exceptional clinical care with academic pursuits in clinical research, quality improvement, education, and program development.

The successful candidate will join a nationally recognized program that provides comprehensive palliative care services across a variety of settings, including inpatient consultation, outpatient palliative care clinics for patients with cancer and other serious illnesses, community-based palliative care, and inpatient hospice services. The program is committed to improving the quality of life for patients and families while expanding access to high-quality care across North Carolina.

This is an open-rank fixed-term faculty appointment. The position may be aligned with the Department of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine, or Department of Emergency Medicine based on the candidate's specialty training and interests. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, and accompanied by a comprehensive faculty benefits package and incentive program. Candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
