Purpose: You will provide civil engineering services to Worley and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the Civil engineering team. Responsibilities:
- Deliver civil engineering services that meet Worley, its customer and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
- Deliver civil engineering services that meet Worley's, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
- Supervise, guide and mentor junior and intermediate staff.
- Advise Lead Engineer, Project Management and other disciplines of the environmental law requirements applicable to the project.
- Manage Civil resource hours and schedule.
- Customer liaison.
- Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its customer's requirements.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in civil engineering.
- Site earthwork planning and land development.
- Site grading and drainage design.
- Haul road and crossing design.
- Access roads and facilities infrastructure design.
- Railroad design.
- Prepare Stormwater management plans including design of retention and detention ponds, lift stations, controlled discharge, and Erosion and Sediment Control Plans.
- Underground utilities design (culverts, subdrains).
- Prepare Civil MTOs, project cost estimates, tender documentation process, tender evaluation.
- Prepare/review Civil specifications, calculations, and reports.
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
What you will bring Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:
- 12+ years of relevant discipline experience.
- Experience working in project leadership role.
- Experience in estimating project costs and writing proposal contentHighly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
- A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of civil earthworks design, including environmental and geotechnical requirements, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
- Fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Competent use of civil engineering specific software.
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Substantial technical and practical experience in civil engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Required:
- 4 or 5 year Batchelor degree in Civil Engineering.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States
