Role Summary: Reporting to the Director of Industrial Intelligence Solutions, the Digital Transformation & Process Solution Consultant is a key member of the Automation Team. This position is responsible for delivering accelerated sales growth in the information solution software and process control portfolios. They are a subject matter expert in understanding customers' business drivers and desired outcomes, combining capabilities and solutions to fully meet customer expectations. This role is the Digital Transformation & Process liaison between Rockwell Automation and Kendall Electric. The role provides marketing and commercial leadership for sales growth, responsibility for supporting the commercial plan for the Digital Transformation & Process businesses, and competency development of the sales team. Responsible for managing the services portfolio, go-to-market strategy and partner ecosystem related to Digital Transformation & Process.

Exciting work you will do:

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Digital Transformation & Process Solution Consultant position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Annual growth planning and execution including targets, competency, and future investments
  • Develop and maintain software and process portfolio, vendor partnerships, and delivery partners
  • Articulate the value of Kendall Electric's overall offering in the context of customer business outcomes and support account managers in creating opportunities and closing orders
  • Engage distributors to develop specialist and sales team competency and ensure awareness of new and existing software and process offerings
  • Develop and execute a business and commercial plan within assigned geography using a disciplined selling process
  • Identify target accounts and collaborate with sales to qualify and close software and process opportunities
  • Create and execute strategies for attaching software to hardware sales
  • Work with outside sales to create and maintain a robust sales funnel
  • Learn new products/technologies, including adjacent areas outside of expertise
  • Maintain deep technical focus in the Information Software and Process Control portfolio
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:

  • Work Experience: 5 years of experience applying Rockwell Automation products or equivalent competitive software and process control solutions
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or 6 years of equivalent experience
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Knowledge of automation and process control standards and terminology; analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficiency with MS Office
  • Organization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment
  • Cross-functional Skills: Proven outcome-based seller; understanding of industrial business drivers; self-motivated and self-managed
  • Communication Skills: Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to influence and guide team members; effective presentation skills in small and large groups
  • Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: Ability to see, talk, and hear; ability to sit for 8 hours a day
