Summary
Under minimal supervision, responsible for overseeing business operations across departments. Duties include hiring new staff, conducting office meetings and coming up with proactive strategies to improve productivity and employee morale. Uses independent judgment. Included in the responsibilities are: independent financial and administrative oversight, lifecycle management of grants and contracts portfolio, development of diverse range of budgets and financial reports, and coordinate philanthropic endeavors.
Essential Functions
Supervises clerical staff and other employees.
Designs work schedules and organize employee training.
Resolves employee and client issues.
Ensures the work facility is safe, free of security issues and in compliance with all government regulations.
Works with outside vendors to maintain necessary business supplies.
Maintains a good working relationship with executives and other managers.
Designs ands implement procedures to improve profitability.
Directs and organizes training and educational activities with collaborations internally at MGB, nationally, and internationally. Will work with Innovations, Harvard Medical School CME-Online, and McLean MGB CME programs in compliance with MGB policies.

Education

Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No

Experience

experience in financial reporting and database management 2-3 years preferred

Strong leadership skills.

Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Basic computer skills.

Ability to analyze company procedures to make improvements.

Ability to create work schedules and budgets.
