Purpose of Position
The Ground Systems Instructor (GSI) is responsible for accomplishing ground-based academic training of specific non-flying training objectives for U.S. Air Force and Allied Nation C-17 Pilot and Loadmaster students as well as handling other training related duties currently accomplished by Instructor Pilots and Loadmasters. The GSI will instruct pilot students in the classroom, Cockpit Systems Simulator (CSS), Core Integrated Processor (CIP) Trainer, Single Point Refueling Trainer (SPR) and at the aircraft designated for static training. The GSI will instruct pilot and loadmaster students using the Visual Threat Recognition and Avoidance Trainer (VTRAT) and in the Night Vision Goggles (NVG) Classroom. The GSI will document training performance of students using the Training Management System (TMS). Tasks and Responsibilities

*Minimum of an Associates degree required. Minimum Experience
*Must have extensive aviation aircrew or aviation-related instructor experience commensurate with required training topics (aircraft systems). Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
