Job Overview:

Step into an Office Administrator role with Cullum & Brown, an Ingersoll Rand brand, a trusted industrial equipment distributor and service company with more than 132 years of experience. With locations in Kansas City and Springfield, we are an authorized distributor for leading brands including Gardner Denver, FS Elliott, Elmo Rietschle, Hoffman, Lamson, Tuthill, Graco, Grundfos, PowerEx, and more. We provide reliable equipment solutions and 24/7 emergency service for all makes and models, backed by 18 factory-trained, certified technicians who deliver expert support when customers need it most.

As our Office Administrator, you'll serve as the Administrative & Accounting Coordinator, playing a key role in keeping daily operations running smoothly across multiple branches. This position blends office coordination, accounting support, and customer-focused follow-through, assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general administrative needs. It's a great fit for someone who has great customer service abilities, is highly organized, detail-driven, and energized by managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving, multi-branch environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary front office contact by answering phones, greeting visitors, managing mail, and maintaining the company phone system.
  • Perform general administrative support, including completing forms, maintaining organized digital records, and managing office supplies and purchasing.
  • Maintain internal employee information.
  • Provide accounting support across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Support sales tax and compliance activities.



Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 2+ years of office related experience

  • Proficiency with accounting systems and standard office software
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, vendors, and customers

Preferences:

  • Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) software (or another ERP)
  • Accounting (AP/AR) related experience



Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:

  • Onsite in Lee's Summit, Missouri
