Position Summary

The Finish Department Operator is responsible for operating machinery and processing fabric within the Finish Department of a textile manufacturing facility. This role supports production goals by ensuring products meet quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Move pallets of fabric throughout the department.
  • Follow detailed production specifications and work instructions.
  • Load and unload fabric into and from finishing machines.
  • Operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect fabric to ensure finished products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Clean machines and work areas throughout the shift.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Basic industrial sewing skills preferred.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for the duration of the scheduled shift.
  • Ability to work in wet and slippery conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs as needed.
  • Ability to regularly push and pull pallet jacks and carts weighing up to 1,000 pounds.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, manipulate, and handle materials and equipment.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
Work Environment

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, moisture, and chemicals. Employees are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety guidelines.



2nd shift 3:00 PM-11:30 PM M-F

Wages and annual increases are provided in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. Shift differential on 2nd and 3rd shifts. Eligible employees receive nine (9) paid holidays, medical, dental, prescription drug coverage, short-term disability benefits, vision care reimbursement, shoe reimbursement, and a 401(k) retirement plan with Company matching contributions up to $750 annually, plus an annual employer fixed contribution of $1,300. Employees also begin accruing sick leave and vacation time starting on their first day of employment.
