The Events and Engagement Coordinator is a key contributor to the strategic growth agenda at the Banner Life family of companies, supporting the Manager of Distribution Events and Engagement to deliver elevated experiences to our distribution partners.



Responsibilities

    Support the Manager of Distribution Events & Engagement to plan, coordinate and execute a variety of events, including conferences, client appreciation events, trade shows, webinars, and Home Office based events.
  • Take primary ownership of certain events, including Home Office based events.
  • Assist with: tracking event expenses, handling of attendee reimbursements, contract and order reviews, and post-event expense reconciliation.
  • Track and analyze event performance, gather feedback, and provide post-event reports and recommendations.
  • Create and manage detailed event timelines, checklists and C-suite level communications with our distribution partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to determine event goals and success metrics and develop event concepts and themes based on attendee profile, location and purpose of event.
  • Coordinate onsite event set-up, execution and breakdown, including problem identification and resolution, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees.
  • Work with vendors, clients, speakers, hotels, and other venues. Help execute planning meetings, including pre-conference meetings and planning calls, and post-event evaluations.
  • Coordinate event logistics including transportation and lodging, equipment rental and support event execution.
  • Ensure events align with brand guidelines, compliance requirements and safety protocols.
  • Manage the sourcing and purchasing of company branded items such as apparel and other promotional items for Distribution and Marketing teams in relation to in-scope events, conferences and trade shows in coordination with other teams, Brand guidelines, and VMO.
  • Manage the warehouse and digital storefront inventory for in-scope event related items, ensuring branded items are available and ready for packaging and shipping when needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures in a timely manner including VMO, HR requirements, timecards, and training modules.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience/Knowledge
3+ years of events or hospitality experience
Experience with both in-person and virtual events

Experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environment

Skills

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with all levels of staff and customers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom)Familiarity with tools such as Concur, CVENT, Salesforce, project management software and document management systems

High level of discretion and confidentiality

Strong time-management and organizational abilities

Ability to anticipate needs, think critically and offer solutions

Adept at problem resolution

Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

25% travel required - Passport required

What's in it for you?

The expected hiring compensation range for this position is $70,600 - $88,300 annually. This is a hybrid opportunity working out of our Frederick, MD office, coming onsite three days per week.

The total compensation package for this position may include other elements, such as a sign-on bonus, long term incentives, and annual bonuses. This role is eligible to participate in the Annual Incentive Plan. The current target payment for the position is 8% of base salary, modified for corporate and individual performance. Bonuses are pro-rated based on start date. This role has 15 vacation days and 10 sick days that are accrued on a bi-weekly basis. Employees also have 9 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
