Loan Processing Specialist Fast-Paced \| High-Impact \| Growth Opportunity Are you detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment? This is a great opportunity to break into the financial services industry and build valuable experience in loan processing, operations, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll play a key role in ensuring loans are processed accurately and efficiently-from application to funding-while partnering closely with internal teams. What You'll Do * Review and audit loan applications and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance * Ensure all required documentation and stipulations are completed before funding * Generate and send loan contracts (DocuSign/UPS) and confirm all signatures are obtained * Process and fund loans once all requirements are met * Manage a shared queue of incoming applications and prioritize work effectively * Partner closely with loan officers and internal teams to resolve issues and move applications forward * Respond to internal requests quickly and thoroughly to meet service level expectations * Assist with system updates, testing, and special projects as needed Day-to-Day Workflow * Process and review loan applications from a shared queue * Verify documentation is complete and accurate * Send contracts and follow up as needed * Handle a high volume of internal communication and status updates * No direct customer interaction - all internal collaboration What You're Working With * 2,500-3,200 loan applications processed monthly across a team of 5 * Approximately 70% loan processing / 30% communication and follow-up * Tools include Microsoft Office, Loan Origination Systems (LOS), and internal banking platforms Types of Loans You'll gain exposure to multiple loan products, including: * Personal loans (lines of credit, installment loans) * Auto loans (purchases, refinances, lease buyouts) * Title-secured loans What Success Looks Like * Strong focus on accuracy, speed, and productivity * Meeting turnaround expectations (ex: sending contracts quickly after hitting your queue) * Maintaining high-quality work while managing a high-volume workload * Staying organized, responsive, and detail-oriented under pressure What We're Looking For * 2+ years financial services or banking experience * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment * Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams * Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt quickly * Comfortable learning multiple loan types and processes Key Skills * Financial services or banking exposure (preferred) * Customer service mindset * Strong data review and processing skills * Ability to work efficiently under deadlines Why This Role * Break into the financial services industry with hands-on experience * Develop highly transferable skills in loan processing and operations * Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment * Opportunity to grow and expand your career Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Vernon Hills, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
