  • Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle for assigned accounts, from initial discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close, in coordination with operations and service delivery teams.
  • Maintain disciplined follow-up with prospects throughout long and varied sales cycles, using value-driven outreach to advance opportunities and re-engage stalled deals.
  • Ensure accurate opportunity scoping, documentation, and internal handoff to operations and delivery teams to support smooth client onboarding and successful service transition.
  • Conduct compelling discovery conversations to uncover IT pain points, security gaps, compliance requirements, and budget cycles across target verticals.
  • Develop and execute territory plans, including targeted account lists, prospecting cadences, and pipeline management within our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
  • Build and maintain relationships with strategic partners, referral sources, and vendor/channel contacts to generate qualified opportunities.
  • Articulate and differentiate the company's managed IT, cybersecurity, and compliance offerings against competitors and in-house IT alternatives.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking engagements to build brand presence and source new relationships.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor positioning, and buyer needs to refine outreach strategy and improve win rates.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts and sales activity reporting, using data to prioritize efforts, improve conversion, and support revenue planning.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Sawdey MSD's client portfolio, a high level of technical competence, and the ability to utilize this knowledge to drive business.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and other reports as required.

  • Assist with proposal development.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Conversion of outbound activity into qualified discovery meetings and proposals.
  • Short ramp to first close, with growing contribution to revenue in months 3-6.

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of business-to-business (B2B) sales experience preferred, with a proven track record of quota attainment in technology services, managed services provider (MSP), managed security services provider (MSSP), or IT-solutions environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-source pipeline through disciplined outbound activity, not reliant on inbound leads.
  • Familiarity with managed services, cybersecurity concepts, and compliance frameworks such as endpoint detection and response (EDR), security information and event management (SIEM), security operations center (SOC)-as-a-service, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and System and Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2) preferred.
  • Experience selling to business owners, C-level executives, operations leaders, and IT directors in small-to-mid-sized organizations ranging from 50-2,000 employees.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to build ROI-driven business cases for prospects evaluating outsourced IT and security.
