The Vice President of Enterprise Data & Analytics will provide executive leadership for TDIndustries' data strategy, analytics capabilities, artificial intelligence initiatives, and business intelligence programs. This role is responsible for establishing a modern, scalable data architecture that spans construction operations, facilities management, building services, and smart building solutions. The VP will drive data-driven decision making and AI-enabled capabilities across the enterprise, enabling operational excellence, predictive insights, and competitive advantage through the strategic use of data assets and emerging technologies. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in contemporary data platforms and AI/ML disciplines within the construction, facilities, or built environment industries, combined with a proven track record of building high-performing analytics organizations.


Essential Duties

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the enterprise data, analytics, and AI strategy, ensuring alignment with TDIndustries' business objectives across construction, facilities management, and building services divisions
  • Establish a modern enterprise data architecture leveraging contemporary patterns including data lakehouse, data mesh, real-time streaming, and event-driven architectures
  • Lead the development of TDIndustries' data platform strategy, including cloud data warehousing (Snowflake), data lakes, and modern data stack technologies
  • Partner with TDIndustries leadership to identify strategic opportunities where data, analytics, and AI can drive operational efficiency, revenue growth, and competitive differentiation
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise data and AI roadmap, prioritizing investments that deliver measurable business value

Technology Leadership & Delivery

  • Oversee the enterprise analytics platform, including Power BI, advanced analytics, and self-service BI capabilities that enable data-driven decision making at all levels
  • Lead data integration initiatives across enterprise technologies using modern integration patterns and APIs. Maintain a comprehensive inventory of enterprise data flows, ensuring every integration has a named business and technical owner. Proactively identify and resolve ownership gaps before they become data quality or compliance risks.
  • Drive the development of predictive analytics and AI/ML capabilities for construction forecasting, resource optimization, equipment maintenance, and building performance
  • Champion modern data consumption patterns including real-time dashboards, embedded analytics, data APIs, and semantic layers that enable business users and applications to access trusted data
  • Enable real-time analytics and operational dashboards for construction project performance, field productivity, and building services delivery
  • Lead the data workstream within enterprise system transformation programs. Define migration standards, cutover readiness criteria, and post-go-live data health monitoring frameworks, serving as the named executive data authority within program governance.
  • AI & Machine Learning
  • Lead TDIndustries' AI strategy, including the development and deployment of machine learning models, large language models (LLMs), and generative AI applications
  • Establish AI/ML infrastructure and MLOps practices for model development, training, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
  • Drive the development of AI data foundations including feature stores, vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures
  • Ensure responsible AI practices including model governance, bias detection, explainability, and ethical AI principles
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies that can enhance operational efficiency, Partner experience, and customer value

Data Governance & Management

  • Establish and lead the enterprise data governance program, including policies, standards, and processes that ensure data integrity, security, and compliance
  • Serve as the decision authority for master data definitions across critical domains - customer, site, asset, project, vendor, and workforce. Establish and maintain a formal enterprise data dictionary defining field-level standards, system of record designations, and authoritative ownership boundaries across all platforms.
  • Resolve cross-functional disputes where a single real-world entity is represented differently across operational, financial, and customer-facing systems.
  • Drive data quality initiatives and metrics across business units. Own the identification and remediation of legacy data debt, establishing formal data readiness standards and validation gates required before data is migrated into new platforms. Ensure data quality risk has executive visibility ahead of system go-live milestones.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity and Compliance teams to ensure data privacy, regulatory compliance, and appropriate access controls
  • Establish data stewardship roles and responsibilities across the organization, fostering shared ownership of enterprise data assets
  • Implement data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage capabilities that enable data discovery and trust

Smart Building & IoT Analytics

  • Lead the charge and focus on the development of analytics capabilities for smart building platforms, including building performance optimization, energy analytics, and predictive maintenance
  • Establish data pipelines and analytics frameworks for IoT sensor data, building automation systems, and connected equipment leveraging streaming and time-series data platforms
  • Drive the development of customer-facing analytics and reporting capabilities that differentiate TDIndustries' service offerings

Collaboration & Partner Engagement

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders across Construction, Facilities, and Building Services to understand analytics needs and translate them into actionable solutions
  • Partner with IT Operations, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance
  • Work closely with Application Development teams to ensure proper data architecture and integration patterns across enterprise systems
  • Serve as liaison between Technology Services and business units to ensure data initiatives support operational excellence and Partner experience

Leadership & Culture

  • Build and lead a high-performing data and analytics organization, including data engineers, analytics developers, data scientists, ML engineers, and BI specialists
  • Foster a data-driven culture across TDIndustries, promoting data literacy, AI adoption, and self-service analytics capabilities
  • Servant leadership orientation aligned with TDIndustries' culture and values
  • Strategic thinking with ability to translate business vision into data and analytics roadmaps
  • Provide executive mentorship and growth opportunities aligned with TD's career development philosophy

Minimum Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise data management, analytics, and business intelligence
  • 7+ years of leadership experience managing data and analytics teams
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in Construction, Facilities Management, Building Services, or related industries
  • Proven track record of building enterprise data platforms and delivering measurable business value through analytics and AI
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or similar) and modern data architecture patterns
  • Deep understanding of contemporary data architecture patterns including data lakehouse, data mesh, streaming architectures, and modern data stack technologies
  • Strong experience with AI/ML disciplines including machine learning model development, MLOps, feature engineering, and model deployment
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models (LLMs), vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) patterns
  • Experience with AI governance, responsible AI practices, and ethical AI frameworks
  • Strong experience with data governance frameworks, master data management, and data quality programs
  • Experience with the Microsoft analytics ecosystem including Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Azure Machine Learning, and related technologies
  • Familiarity with construction industry data challenges including project costing, field operations, estimating, and service delivery
  • Knowledge of IoT data management, time-series analytics, streaming platforms, and building automation data integration
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex data and AI concepts for executive and board audiences
