Pay ranges from $31.90-$36.00 plus applicable shift premium.

Position is for a midnight technician. Candidate may be required to train on the day shift (7am-3pm) before moving to the midnight shift (11pm-7am)

CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

1. A Journeyman's status in maintenance, preferably in machine repair, millwright, electrical, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Ability to attain a lift truck license, issued internally by the Materials department.

3. Become a member of the plant emergency response team. Must pass all training, including internal and external Hazwoper training. Must be able to suit up in the appropriate equipment, and work with TDI Must be able to attend training exercises, even when scheduled during off shifts and non-work hours.

4. Must be able to read and write, and follow instructions as laid out in the general work orders assigned to this position.

5. Must demonstrate ability to be trained on computer system used in the maintenance department.

6. Must be able to demonstrate basic mathematical ability in order to perform accurate assessments and measurements.

7. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

8. Demonstrated ability to operate basic metalworking tools to maintain and repair parts. (Including but not limited to lathes, drill presses, metal cutting saws, grinders)

9. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to weld.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Demonstrated ability to lift 50 pounds on limited occasions by oneself, and 25 pounds on a steady basis.

2. Ability to climb ladders, kneel for extended periods, balance on platforms, and pass standard drivers license vision tests.

3. Ability to pass a HAZMAT physical, including PFT test and mask fit. Employee must be clean shaven in areas where mask fits to face, for sealing purposes.

4. Ability to work overtime as scheduled; including twelve-hour shifts a minimum of three days per week, and weekend overtime.

Working Conditions: Majority of time in a production environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
