Short Description

Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Joint Replacement Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our dynamic and expanding Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. The ideal candidate will specialize in primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty and be competent and willing to participate in the care of orthopaedic patients while on-call.

This is an exceptional opportunity to practice in a high-volume, academic, and collaborative environment with access to advanced technologies, state-of-the-art surgical facilities, and a robust support staff including physician assistants, residents, and fellows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operative and non-operative care for patients requiring total joint replacement, including primary and revision procedures.
  • Participate in the orthopaedic call schedule and manage musculoskeletal injuries.
  • Work collaboratively with trauma, sports medicine, and other orthopaedic subspecialties to provide comprehensive care.
  • Engage in resident and fellow education through Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research, and departmental meetings.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical excellence, professionalism, and patient-centered care.

Education Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited institution

Completion of an accredited orthopaedic surgery residency

Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction/Joint Replacement Surgery


License/ Certification Requirements

Board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery

Eligible for medical licensure in the state of New Jersey


Special Requirements

Demonstrated ability and willingness to care for orthopaedic patients while on-call

Academic interest and commitment to teaching and scholarly activity preferred.

Hourly Rate Min $181.9
Hourly Rate Max $530.94


The New Jersey Pay Transparency Act requires disclosure of the pay range for this position.

A salary offer will vary based on the job role, candidate experience, qualifications, internal pay equity and market data.
