DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides comprehensive nursing care and ensures a safe and therapeutic environment for residents. As a Registered Nurse, you will perform the following duties:

  • Resident Assessment: Evaluate physical and emotional conditions to guide care planning
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with staff and physicians to support treatments and resident needs
  • Medication Oversight: Dispense, monitor, and document medications and treatments
  • Restorative Programs: Develop and update rehabilitative and restorative care plans with therapy
  • Documentation Accuracy: Record care, assessments, and progress in electronic medical systems
  • Leadership Support: Guide nursing staff, teach new procedures, and monitor work quality

Work Hours and Additional Information:
  • Part-time employment (8 hours/day; 20 hours/week)
  • Positions are available on:
    • 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) with a 30-minute lunch - Working days Tues, Thurs, Sat, Sun, Thurs.
    • 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with a 30-minute lunch - Working days Wed, Fri, Sat, Tues, Thurs.
  • Working every other weekend is required.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $42.24 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Necessary Special Requirements:

  • This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • If you are within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
