As a Security Officer Access Gate Monitor in Elmsford, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, complete routine patrols, and support loss prevention efforts. Pay Rate: $16.92 - $17.92 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or other security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, gate areas, trailer yards, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Support shipping and receiving access procedures by checking inbound and outbound traffic, documenting arrivals and departures, and communicating clearly with site personnel regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
