As a Security Officer Badge Desk in Polk City, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic utilities location where you will monitor entry points, manage badges and access permissions, and support security-related operations through visible presence, routine patrols, and professional communication. In this ACCESS_CONTROL role, you will help to discourage unwanted activity while delivering strong customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with post instructions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, gates, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
• Support security-related operations by maintaining accurate logs, reporting access control issues, and following Allied Universal protocols for restricted and sensitive areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
