Department OverviewThe Global Product Finance organization supports revenue and margin growth of the Command Center portfolio, while enabling its leadership teams to make proactive, data-driven decisions that best secure and accelerate the overall strategic growth of its assets. We do this through providing timely, comprehensive and relevant reporting, recommendations and sound forecasts to our stakeholders. Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst works with the Command Center Product organization to develop accurate forecasts, comprehensive reporting and support the business with revenue growth and margin expansion opportunities.

Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Coordinate the annual budget and regular Committed Value forecasts; monitor performance against actuals to identify root causes of variances.

  • Revenue & Margin Analysis: Perform deep-dive analysis into Revenue, Volume/Mix, and Margin.

  • Backlog Management: Compile, analyze, and report Sales Backlog.

  • Cost of Goods Sold Management: Maintain a detailed forecast of COGS and report actuals monthly. Drive cost efficiencies through your partnership with Product leadership.

  • Revenue Management: Research and reconciliation of deals, ensuring correct allocation of revenue.

  • Operational Finance: Manage CapEx, and Headcount tracking to ensure organizational alignment with financial targets.

  • Product knowledge: Accumulate and apply in-depth product knowledge to simplify trends in large data sets to succinct stories that enable insightful conversation. Convey insights from various product teams as a comprehensive story.

  • Executive Reporting: Produce concise monthly performance summaries and lead the preparation of Monthly Business Review (MBR) presentations.

Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills

  • Experience working in a recurring or SaaS revenue business.

  • Demonstrated ability to engender support and broker alignment between stakeholders.

  • Revenue and margin forecasting experience.

  • Proficiency with Google sheets, Oracle experience and strong US GAAP knowledge.

  • Relevant certifications such as CPA or MBA.

Target Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting.

  • 4+ years of work experience in Finance or Accounting.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
