This position will be based primarily in Waltham but will require occasional (1-2x/month) presence in Boston.

Position Summary/ Department Summary:
The Frontline Ambulatory Clinics Supervisor manages and leads daily administrative operations for the Plastic Surgery department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the day-to-day administrative operations of the department, including staff scheduling, workload distribution, and ensuring adequate coverage for critical administrative and clerical functions. Recommends, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and workflows to promote efficient and effective operations.
  • Provides leadership and supervision to administrative support staff, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary processes. Plans, prioritizes, and delegates work assignments while providing ongoing feedback and guidance to support staff development and team performance.
  • Monitors clinic operations to ensure an exceptional patient and family experience. Assists staff in resolving customer service, scheduling, and operational issues, responds to patient concerns and complaints, and manages situations requiring escalated service recovery.
  • Oversees departmental recordkeeping, reporting, and data management processes, including maintaining highly sensitive administrative, financial, and employee information. Ensures data accuracy, monitors databases and spreadsheet integrity, and prepares reports, analyses, and other operational metrics for leadership review.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency by evaluating existing systems and workflows and implementing enhancements as appropriate. Serves as a departmental resource and Superuser, supports regulatory and accreditation readiness activities, and participates in Joint Commission and Environment of Care preparations and rounds.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:
  • Two years of related work experience required.
  • Additional years of related work experience may substitute for education requirement.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
