Job Title: Senior FP&A Analyst, Finance - National Hospital Services

Location: Denver, CO

Work Schedule: In-office Tuesday through Thursday (with some flexibility as needed)

Finance Senior FP&A Analyst

Position Overview DaVita is seeking a talented and driven Senior FP&A Analyst to join the National Hospital Services Group (HSG). As a Senior Financial Analyst on our team, you will help determine and execute the strategic path for managing our Hospital Services business. You will take ownership of core FP&A processes-including forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning-while partnering closely with operational leaders.

We are looking for someone who can build strong relationships with cross-functional partners and use an analytical mindset to drive meaningful change. You will be challenged to critically think through complex problems, challenge the status quo, and solve critical business issues that affect our daily operations. Your work will be highly visible to senior leadership, and you will frequently present your findings and strategic recommendations to executive leaders within HSG.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Analytics & Core FP&A Processes

  • Financial Planning: Own and execute core FP&A processes for the HSG business, including annual budgeting, long-term strategic planning, and routine forecasting.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Simplify complex or ambiguous financial, business, and operational problems through hypothesis-based analytical frameworks.
  • Advanced Analytics: Leverage tools like Hyperion Essbase, Anaplan, and Tableau to elevate forecasting accuracy, financial modeling, and data analytics.
  • Business Insights: Quickly internalize how business processes work and develop data-driven recommendations that challenge the status quo.

Accountability & Reporting

  • Executive Reporting: Deliver on-time, highly accurate recurring financial reporting and variance analyses that provide meaningful insights and drive strategic decision-making by senior executives.
  • Actionable Strategy: Drive actionable recommendations from the synthesis of financial insights that push operational partners to differential results or new strategies.
  • Project Management: Prioritize multiple tasks, identifying and acting on the most important business problems. Proactively manage potential roadblocks by identifying, communicating, and solving issues independently.

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with Operations and Field Finance leadership to drive financial results, align on operational goals, and maintain credibility.
  • Executive Exposure: Present financial models, variance drivers, and strategic research directly to the Hospital Services leadership team and other senior executives.

Communication & Leadership

  • Executive Communication: Prioritize communications to focus on the most critical information with a strong bias towards action and results.
  • Mentorship & Culture: Contribute to a team environment of trust and continuous learning. Lead by example, help guide more junior team members, and provide multi-directional feedback to elevate team performance.
  • Continuous Development: pursue professional development opportunities and continuously integrate constructive feedback into your work.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, accounting, corporate finance, or a related analytical role. Preference for experience in healthcare or a related industry.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, modeling). Experience with industry-standard financial systems (Hyperion Essbase, Anaplan, Tableau, etc.) is strongly preferred.
  • Analytical Expertise: Proven ability to critically think through business and operational problems and leverage quantitative data (financial, statistical, forecasting) to drive solutions.
  • Adaptability: Intellectually curious, strong desire to learn, and highly comfortable working autonomously in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently communicate insights to executive leadership.
  • Work Ethic: High accuracy, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Cultural Fit: Strong alignment with DaVita's Mission and Values.

Travel Required: Up to 5-10% nationally.
