Position Overview:

We're looking for a Production Planning Manager to lead the planning and execution of our production schedule, ensuring materials, resources, and capacity are aligned to meet customer commitments while maximizing operational performance. This is a highly visible role that partners closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Production, and Customer Service to drive efficiency, improve delivery performance, and support business growth. The role responsibilities are based on overseeing and executing the master production schedule while balancing demand, inventory, capacity, and supply chain needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the master production schedule to support customer demand and business objectives.
  • Balance production capacity, inventory levels, material availability, and lead times to optimize manufacturing performance.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, Production, and Sales teams to align priorities and ensure flawless execution.
  • Analyze constraints, identify risks, and develop solutions that improve throughput and schedule adherence.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including service levels, inventory performance, and on-time delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen planning processes and operational efficiency.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor scheduling team members while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

Requiredskills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning or scheduling
  • 1+ years of management experience required
  • Manufacturing industry experience required
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across functions.

Expected Base Salary Range: $85,000- $115,000

The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.
