Position Overview

The Licensed Healthcare Professional provides occupational health and clinical support services, including pre-employment screenings, return-to-work physicals, diagnostic testing, specimen collection, immunizations, and care requiring sterile techniques. This role requires strong attention to detail, accurate documentation, and the ability to follow clinical procedures, safety standards, and chain-of-custody requirements.

Job Responsibilities




  • Provide patient care, including services requiring sterile techniques.



  • Conduct medical diagnostic testing for pre-employment, occupational health, and return-to-work physicals.



  • Operate clinical testing equipment, including blood pressure cuffs, vision testing equipment, hearing machines, ECG machines, respirator fit machines, and spirometers.



  • Calibrate and adjust instruments and independently record test results.



  • Administer blood and blood products as required.



  • Package blood specimens, including specimens requiring chain-of-custody documentation for blood alcohol testing.



  • Obtain urine samples for drug testing and complete required chain-of-custody forms.



  • Conduct vital sign and blood pressure checks.



  • Provide pre-employment screenings, including TB testing.



  • Administer immunizations, including Hepatitis B, MMR, TD, and influenza vaccines, as requested and required.



  • Serve as a resource for health-related information.



  • Complete filing, copying, data entry, and other clerical tasks.




Job Requirements




  • Valid New York State license required.



  • Minimum of one year of work experience after licensure required.



  • Phlebotomy experience required.



  • Experience with occupational health, pre-employment screenings, and diagnostic testing preferred.



  • Ability to follow sterile technique, infection control procedures, and specimen handling protocols.



  • Ability to accurately complete documentation and maintain confidentiality.



  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and organizational skills.
