Job Summary

The Electrical Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction through detailed analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role supports electrical safety compliance, investigates customer-returned products, performs root cause analysis, and collaborates cross-functionally with field service teams and quality engineers to implement corrective and preventive actions. The position also involves direct customer interaction, technical support, and participation in projects that improve manufacturing processes and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities




  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards while working on equipment, maintaining a strong commitment to personal and team safety.



  • Collaborate with field service teams and process quality engineers to implement containment and corrective actions in a timely and effective manner.



  • Analyze defective products returned by customers and prepare detailed 8D and analysis reports outlining findings, root causes, and corrective actions.



  • Communicate technical findings, recommendations, and resolutions directly to customers in a professional manner.



  • Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot complaints, provide technical support, collect defective materials, and maintain strong customer relationships.



  • Coordinate with service teams to obtain defective materials for evaluation and analysis.



  • Perform root cause analysis on electrical and electronic product failures to support continuous product and process improvement.



  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing product quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.



  • Maintain accurate documentation related to investigations, testing activities, corrective actions, and customer support cases.



  • Demonstrate accountability, integrity, and a commitment to workplace safety in all aspects of the role.




Job Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.



  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, quality assurance, or quality control environment.



  • Hands-on experience with transformers, PDUs, STSs, and UPS systems.



  • Strong knowledge of testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems.



  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) documentation.



  • Proficiency in using electrical and electronic testing equipment, including power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers.



  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, PPS, and other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.



  • Knowledge of industry standards including UL1561, NEMA ST-20, IEEE C57.12.01, IEEE C57.12.91, DOE 2016, UL891, and CSA C22.2 is preferred.



  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform is considered an asset.



  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.



  • Ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
