We are seeking a dynamic and talented candidate for our Scheduling Coordinator role. The incumbent will be responsible for appropriately staffing and providing payroll support to the nursing department. This position is full time 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pm. The hours are flexible and may require some weekend hours based on scheduling & payroll needs.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Following the Hospital's FTE ratios and staffing guidelines, staff the Nursing Department ensuring it is appropriately staffed at all times in a 24/7 environment
  • Accurately communicate to the nurse management team and supervisory staff current staffing levels
  • Continually forecast scheduling needs based on the hospital's census and any other circumstances (i.e. Weather, local events, etc.)
  • Collect and compute staffing statistics on a daily basis including attendance, tardiness, and meal alerts and provide weekly staff absences to CNO
  • Partner closely with Payroll and the Human Resources Department to ensure staff are paid correctly and timely, this includes entering and completing system entry for payroll weekly
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Previous experience in healthcare scheduling and payroll
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills are required

Preferred:

  • Previous experience with Shift Hound and/or Kronos

*UHS benefits are available to employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week. Coverage is effective on day 31 of employment. Eligibility for employees who are scheduled to work less than 30 hours per week varies by location.
