Identify and assess new technologies whose implementation and general availability may benefit CPS Energy strategic programs, operational efficiency, reliability and customer satisfaction. Determines product maturity and relative difficulty and risk implementation and maintenance. Conducts industry benchmarking, monitor's market trends, and leads/coordinates analysis to determine best fit and business value. May provide leadership for selected product implementations. Responsibilities may include working in or with various departments. Communicates effectively with internal and external customers at all levels of the CPS Energy organization. Participates in strategic team efforts and the development of departmental goals and objectives. Performs other duties as assigned. Tasks and Responsibilities
Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills and comfortable presenting to senior management Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors of Science degree in engineering, mathematics, information technology or related field from an accredited university Required Certifications
Working Environment
Office environment using standard office equipment and software packages. Indoor work, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.
Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events.
Occasional out-of-town travel may be necessary. After hours work may occasionally be required. Physical Demands
Work is primarily sedentary. Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects may be required.
