POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Intern position is a planned program providing a student with a meaningful learning experience applicable to the student's field of study. The position will provide structured assignments coupled with appropriate leadership, evaluation, and feedback.
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Active pursuit of a specified degree required.
* Cumulative GPA 2.5 or greater required.
* Willing to work 40 hours during the summer months and up to 24 hours during the fall/spring semesters.
* Demonstrated ability in Word, Excel, and Internet applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Conduct document research by reviewing customer files, account documentation, and related records to gather information needed to support business processes and respond to inquiries.
* Perform system research across internal banking and operational platforms to locate, verify, and reconcile account information, transaction history, and customer data.
* Enter, update, and maintain data accurately in Microsoft Excel and the core banking system, ensuring completeness, integrity, and timeliness of records.
* Place light outbound calls to insurance companies as needed to confirm coverage details, request documentation, or follow up on outstanding items in a professional and customer-focused manner.
* Download, export, and compile reports from various systems and applications to support daily operations, audits, and management reporting requests.
* Produce and organize photocopies of documents, forms, and correspondence in support of departmental workflows and recordkeeping requirements.
* Prepare outgoing mail, including assembling, addressing, sorting, and processing correspondence and packages in accordance with bank standards and mailing procedures.
* Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.
* Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank's values and corporate culture creating an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, and dedication to the organization.
* Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

* Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be required including occasional out of town travel.
* Flexible work schedule may include some evenings, weekends and/or overtime.
