Waste Treat Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Sets up, adjusts, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments.

• Obtains sample for laboratory tests and bacteria checks.

• Regulates and adjusts control devices to bring about proper chemical reaction.

• Fills out mandatory regulatory test reports and labels hazardous waste drums correctly.

• Cleans laboratory equipment and calibrates instruments.

• Prepares chemical solutions.

• Performs annual testing for customers.

Job Skills Requirements

• Computer skills

• Knowledge & use of electrostatic applications/powder coating processes/wet spray applications

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

• Proficient communication skills

• Follow safety and environmental procedures

• Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

• Paint Line experience required

• Computer skills required

• Strong understanding of chemicals required

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)

• Ability to reach and/or pull for a full work shift (8-12 hours)
