Responsibilities:In this role, you'll shoot, write, edit and produce video, including video geared toward AP's customers and digital audiences. You will help report across formats to help produce a competitive and comprehensive news report for the AP's customers and audiences on digital, social and broadcast platforms. As a member of a round-the-clock operation, you'll be expected to jump in on breaking news, as well as pitch, develop and research,collaborating with colleagues to tell stories across formats. Preferred Qualifications:Applicants should demonstrate a history of collaborating across formats on breaking news and short- and long-term projects, from start to finish.You should have strong interpersonal, organizational and planning skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects across formats and deliver success on complex, challenging story lines. We'll consider strong candidates who do not meet every listed qualification. You may use a cover letter to describe the unique qualifications you would bring to this role. This position is covered by The Associated Press' contract with the News Media Guild, which provides for an annual salary for Class A staff of between $53,477 and $85,214 based on location and years of professional experience. Compensation is contingent on a job candidate's skills, qualifications and market location. Employees are eligible to participate, according to the terms of the official plan documents, in a 401(k) plan and employer-sponsored health insurance plan, and are eligible for paid time off and holidays in accordance with AP policy.
