What you'll do:

SUMMARY:

The Operations Manager position is responsible for leadership, direction, and coordination to assigned shop level production operations to ensure timely resolution to any issues that affects our ability to produce vehicles on time with a high degree of workmanship and quality. The position is responsible for leadership and accountability for safety, quality, cost, and delivery to meet corporate and departmental goals and initiatives. The person must be an active participant in continuous improvement, employee involvement, and equal employment opportunity systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Leadership of the workforce.

* Drive accountability to meet targets and deliverables with the operations workforce.

* Participation in the organization and execution of all systems and processes required to reduce cost, improve quality, and deliver throughout company.

* Monitor process and product quality for compliance to standards that meet or exceed customer expectations.

* Analyze and recommend future requirements related to manpower, machinery, tooling, equipment, and floor space.

* Implementation of new methods and processes.

* Maintain clean, organized, and safe worksite.

* Assist in the development and implementation of appropriate training for all employees with emphasis on quality, safety, and cross functional team training.

* Use of financial and non-financial data to measure performance.

* Provide leadership and direction for workforce.

* Assist in implementing employee involvement.

* Deliver production units and work orders within established organizational timelines to internal as well as external customers.

What you need to be successful:

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.

* 5 years of vehicle manufacturing experience.

* Established record of leadership and mentoring of a staff of supervisory personnel.

* Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.

* Established record of successfully raising the performance of a large manufacturing workforce.

* Ability to be agile in handling multiple tasks/situations as they arise during the day.

* Dedicated, honest and ethical when managing personnel.
