Senior Program Analyst

Simsbury, CT

Location: Simsbury, CT
Reporting to: Missiles Finance Director
Business: Missiles segment

Position summary

This role is the finance lead for a set of Missiles programs, owning program financial management end to end. You will be a partner with Program Management and Project Engineering to drive cost and margin performance, and clear decision-making. This is an L3 role designed for a high-performing analyst who can operate with autonomy today and grow into broader program finance leadership as the Space segment scales.

What you will own

  • Program financial leadership: Own budgets, forecasts, and financial performance for assigned Space programs.
  • EAC and variance operating rhythm: Run a predictable monthly cadence for ETC and EAC updates, including assumptions, risk and opportunity, and clear variance narratives (standard, actual, gap, scope).
  • Cost structure and cost integrity: Own project cost structures and ensure accurate tracking of labor, material, overhead, subcontract, and other direct costs.
  • Business partnering: Serve as the primary finance partner to Program Managers. Translate financial signals into actions, decisions, and accountability.
  • Margin and cash outcomes: Drive margin improvement opportunities, identify cost risks early, and support cash conversion through billing and program working capital visibility.
  • Program reviews and storytelling: Prepare and present monthly program financials to EBAD Space leadership team
  • Compliance and audit readiness: Maintain audit-ready program financials and support internal, customer, and government audits related to program performance.
  • Process improvement: Build scalable standard work, templates, and controls that improve speed, accuracy, and decision quality across program finance.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • ~5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis and project accounting, ideally in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing.
  • Leadership experience a plus

Skills

  • Experience with government contracts (cost-plus, fixed-price, T&M).
  • ERP and data skills that help scale reporting (for example, cost point structures, project modules, reporting tools).
  • Demonstrated ownership of ETC and EAC for complex, long-duration programs.
  • Strong knowledge of project accounting, revenue recognition concepts, and cost management fundamentals.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort building practical models that others adopt.
  • Strong communication skills, able to present to senior leaders and influence non-finance partners.
