| Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
The
UNC Adams School of Dentistry Division of Oral and Craniofacial Health Sciences is the home of the faculty heavily involved in research and/or teaching in the Foundational and Biomedical Sciences. |
| Position Summary |
This full-time postdoctoral position offers an exciting opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in cancer biology and translational cancer therapeutics. Research in the laboratory focuses on the molecular mechanisms governing the
DNA damage response,
DNA repair, cell cycle regulation, oncogenic and immune signaling, and therapeutic resistance in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. The postdoctoral researcher will lead and contribute to innovative projects integrating molecular, biochemical, cellular, and translational approaches to investigate cancer progression and treatment response mechanisms. Responsibilities include designing and performing laboratory experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, contributing to manuscript preparation and grant development, and collaborating within a dynamic and highly interactive research environment dedicated to advancing precision cancer therapy. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Ph.D. or equivalent in an area of biomedical sciences such as molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or cancer biology. |
| Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Experience with cell and molecular biology assays, manuscript preparation and publication. |
| Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Experience in cancer biology; experience in cell cycle regulation and
DNA damage responses. |
