Description

Job Purpose:

The Web Rolltender is responsible for changing rolls and hanging plates. The Web Rolltender also assists operators with various tasks to facilitate the printing process.

Duties:



  • Accurately print job tickets, gather necessary equipment, and report paper usage.
  • Set up paper, plates, rollers, and guides efficiently and safely.
  • Operate and adjust press stackers.
  • Web up the press.
  • Repair damaged rolls and ensure correct ink supply, maintaining fountain solution chemicals.
  • Perform folding, trimming, and quality checks.
  • Stack and organize finished products.
  • Maintain a clean work environment, cleaning ink fountains and rollers as required.
  • Assist operators as needed.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow work instructions, job tickets, safety rules, and ship reports accurately.
  • Ability to write basic correspondence through email or on paper to fellow employees and supervisors.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, use a ruler and calculator, and count.
  • Effective verbal communication.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.

Qualifications

  • All applicants must have: Mechanical aptitude, able to follow written and verbal instructions, demonstrate, excellent attention to detail and complete minor equipment repairs.
