We are currently searching for an experienced Deputy Quality Assurance Manager for Documentation to support our Mid Atlantic Region located in Camp Hill, PA.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.

The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $165,000.

What you'll be doing:

  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the quality management system and make recommendations for improvement as appropriate, to ensure project activities comply with relevant procedures and QA requirements
  • Develops and manages staff to meet business objectives. Monitors productivity of all QA staff members.
  • Leads the efforts in project closeout process development for the IQF team. Be responsible for all IQF closeout package compilation including all materials source documentation as well as related materials sampling and testing.
  • Manage IQF documentation staff including documentation managers, office engineers, and document control specialists
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager as needed
  • Train and onboard IQF documentation staff on closeout procedures, the bridge completion submittal lists, and file-naming/packaging conventions
  • Participate in meetings with representatives from all entities including client, owner, and QC to improve processes and overall quality of the IQF program, in particular meetings focused on the Closeout Process, Punchlist, and Bridge Birth Certification

What you need to have:

  • 15 years' experience on roadway and bridge construction projects
  • Experience closing out roadway and bridge construction projects
  • Experience in managing and tracking subcontracts
  • PennDOT experience required
  • Alternative delivery experience preferred
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines
  • Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
