Located at the Horseshoe Bay Resort Marina, Waterfront Bar & Grill offers indoor and outdoor dining directly on Lake LBJ. The concept blends bold, from-scratch cuisine with a lively atmosphere, featuring:

Operating Hours:



  • Mon-Thurs: 4 PM - 10 PM
  • Fri: 11 AM - 10 PM
  • Sat-Sun: 9 AM - 3 PM (Brunch), 4 PM - 10 PM

Role Overview

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of daily restaurant operations, with a focus on service execution, team leadership, and financial performance. This is a hands-on role requiring active floor leadership in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead daily service operations and ensure consistent execution of standards
  • Drive exceptional guest experiences across dining, bar, and events
  • Supervise, coach, and develop front-of-house team members
  • Manage labor, scheduling, and staffing adjustments based on demand
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training
  • Monitor inventory, ordering, and cost controls
  • Resolve guest issues professionally and efficiently
  • Partner with culinary and resort teams to execute events and promotions


What We're Looking For



  • 2+ years of food & beverage experience in high-volume or upscale casual environments
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong service mindset with the ability to lead from the floor
  • Solid understanding of food, beverage, and bar operations
  • Ability to perform under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays


Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality degree preferred
  • Food Handler's Certificate and TABC Certification required
  • Minimum age 18 (21+ if operating company vehicles)
  • Valid driver's license preferred


Physical Requirements



  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications
Education
Associates (preferred)
Some college (preferred)
High School (required)
Experience
Experience with bar operations, full-service dining, and staff management strongly preferred (required)
1 years: At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred (shift lead, supervisor, or assistant manager) (required)
2 years: Minimum 2 years of food & beverage experience in a high-volume or upscale casual restaurant environment (required)
