The Senior Sales Quotations Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and technically compliant quotations for custom Radyne induction equipment and related industrial engineering solutions. This role works closely with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management teams to develop cost estimates, define scope, review technical specifications, and ensure quotations align with customer requirements, production capabilities, and company pricing strategies
  • Evaluate Requests for quote and develop equipment proposals that result in high value for the customer and profitability for Radyne.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of expertise in the design of Induction thermal processing, integrating Induction Heating and Material Handling Automation
  • Undergo additional training in the theory and application of induction heating and its subsystems.
  • Learn and follow the Radyne sales process. Including use of the Radyne CRM
  • Establish and maintain effective business relationships with customers & potential customers. Become a resource for them.
  • Evaluate customer technical requirements and clearly define the scope of the customer project proposal. Collaborate as a teammate with the Field Sales Team to acquire missing information.
  • Assess customer technical, financial & emotional motivation for incorporation of Radyne technology into customer's process to ensure we are working on qualified opportunities.
  • Keep CRM current with records of past & future activity and communication.
  • Attend and contribute to order review, release and design review meetings.
  • Maintain communication between the customer and internal staff on orders in progress.
  • Work with Marketing and Sales to monitor competition, gather current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Membership in certain Industrial Trade Organizations and participation in their events.
  • Collaborate with other Inductotherm Group Personnel.
  • Participate in select Customer Visits - in areas of expertise to aid Sales staff presenting proposals.

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with relevant estimating and proposal development experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a corporate sales environment
  • Knowledge of Heat-treating processes a big plus
  • Degree in material science or equivalent work experience in material sciences a plus
  • Automation Quotation/Estimation Work Experience a big plus
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Technical, Creative and Detail Oriented
  • Skilled in Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • 10 -20% travel is possible
